About Us
Leadership that has Led the Work

Our Story
Bryson Capital was founded in 2013 by Lance Bryson, who built the firm on the conviction that finance leadership and systems expertise should never have been separated in the first place.
As a Consultant at Deloitte, he led global finance transformation initiatives for Fortune 500 clients, directing strategy, discovery, design, and implementation of accounting and enterprise planning systems.
Earlier, he implemented enterprise performance management solutions covering budgeting, forecasting, and actuals reporting for complex organizations.
Lance also sat in the operator's seat, serving as Interim Chief Financial Officer, Director of Finance, and Controller for organizations ranging from family-owned businesses, venture capital start-ups, and public entities to tax-exempt organizations. He has owned the monthly close, prepared the audit schedules, presented to boards, and restructured finance teams. He has deployed the systems and then ran the operations those systems were supposed to support.

Lance Bryson
Principal Owner
Bryson Capital exists to bring both perspectives to every strategic engagement.
Lance holds a Master of Legal Studies in Business Law and Compliance from Wake Forest University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University. His legal studies background strengthens the firm's work in due diligence, compliance, data security, and the governance questions that increasingly define how finance organizations are run.
Outside of work, Lance is most often found behind the scenes at hunter-jumper equestrian events, competing with his partner, Ryan. At home, Lance enjoys tackling landscaping projects, playing golf, or heading for the mountains to ski whenever the season allows. His relaxing time is spent with his dog-children, Hamilton (Jack Russel Terrier) and Flo (French Bulldog) who keep the house lively. Their French Bulldog, Marty, who lived a long and happy life, is deeply missed and remembered often.
What Makes Us Different
We bridge accounting and technology.
We've implemented Workday, Oracle (NetSuite,Fusion Cloud Finance and Accounting) , Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains and D365), and QuickBooks, and run the accounting operations on top of them. We've built integrations between card processing, banking, procurement, planning, payroll, and accounting systems. We've deployed Business Intelligence and dashboard reporting through Domo, Power BI, QuickBase, and Smartsheets. We know what the systems can do and what the CFO, CTO, and CHRO need it to do.
We've sat in the seat.
Every engagement is led by someone who has owned a close, signed the reconciliations, faced the auditors, and reported to a board. When we recommend a system, a process, or a team structure, it's because we've lived with the consequences of getting those decisions right, and wrong.
We deliver solutions.
We're not resellers, implementation partners, or software vendors. When we recommend keeping what you have, it's because the real problem is elsewhere. When we recommend replacing it, it's because the current system cannot meet your needs. Our only product is sound advice.
We serve organizations of every size.
From Fortune 500 clients with $60+ billion in revenue to family-owned businesses and small nonprofits, we've learned that strong finance operations look different at different scales, and that right-sizing our recommendations matters as much as the recommendations themselves.
